Here's another enormous update for everyone. This includes a few left over pictures from Christmas that didn't make the last update. It also includes pictures of our Colorado trip. And of course I have pictures of Sophia's first birthday.
The Colorado trip was a lot of fun. We did well skiing and had no problems on the hardest greens. Yes, greens. We did do a few blues, but this was the first time I've been skiing in 8 years and the last time was only considered skiing because I had skis attached to my feet and I went down one little hill in Germany. Anyway, we really enjoyed it. Carissa wants to move to Colorado now. I still want to live somewhere that it stays between 60 and 80 year round. We'll see what happens in the next few years, I suppose.
The birthday party seemed to be a resounding success. All the grandparents and great-grandparents in the area came over and watched Sophia maul some tissue paper and smear cake everywhere. I asked Sophia if she felt any older and she said "YEAH!" It's 50/50 whether she'll say "YEAH!" or "no no no no" to any question, so I'll have to try again next year I think.
